ANY group of individuals or organization that intends to engage in charitable, social, educational, religious, or other non-profit activities for the public welfare can apply for NGO registration. NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) are typically formed to work towards the betterment of society, and they can be registered as trusts, societies, or section 8 companies, depending on the laws and regulations.
- DOCUMENT REQUIRED: -
- Memorandum of Association (MOA) or Trust Deed: Document defining the objectives, rules, and regulations of the NGO.
- Articles of Association (AOA) or Rules and Regulations: Rules governing the internal management and operations of the NGO.
- Identity Proof of Founders: Identity proof (such as Aadhaar card, passport, or voter ID) of the founders or members of the NGO.
- Address Proof: Address proof of the NGO’s registered office (e.g., utility bill or rent agreement).
- Declaration/Certificate of Non-profit Status: A declaration or certificate affirming that the NGO will operate on a non-profit basis.
- Board Resolution: A board resolution approving the registration process and authorizing specific individuals to represent the NGO.
- PAN Card: Permanent Account Number (PAN) card of the NGO and its founders.
- Bank Account Details: Bank account details of the NGO.
- Photographs: Passport-sized photographs of the founders or members.
