WHO CAN APPLY: -

ANY individual, business, or entity that is involved in the supply of goods or services and meets the GST registration threshold can apply for GST registration. In India, businesses with an annual turnover exceeding a certain limit (currently INR 40 lakhs for most states, and INR 20 lakhs for special category states) are required to register for GST. Additionally, certain businesses, regardless of turnover, are also required to register for GST, such as those engaged in inter-state supply, e-commerce, and those liable for reverse charge mechanism.

  • PAN Card: Permanent Account Number of the business or individual applying for GST registration.
  • Proof of Constitution: Documents supporting the legal status of the business, such as Partnership Deed, Memorandum of Association (MOA), Articles of Association (AOA), or Certificate of Incorporation.
  • Identity Proof: Identity proof of the proprietor, partners, directors, or authorized signatories, such as Aadhaar card, passport, voter ID, or driver’s license.
  • Address Proof: Address proof of the business premises, such as utility bills, rent agreement, or property tax receipt.
  • Bank Account Details: Bank account statement, canceled cheque, or passbook of the business entity.
  • Digital Signature: Digital signature of the authorized signatory (required for certain cases).
  • Letter of Authorization: If the application is submitted through an authorized representative, a letter of authorization is required.
  • Photographs: Passport-sized photographs of the proprietor, partners, directors, or authorized signatories.
  • Business Registration Proof: Proof of business registration or incorporation certificate (if applicable).
